Ambassador Dong-han Yang invited Professor Donggyu Kim from KAIST for Expert Roundtable (CSIR ICC) and Special Lectures (TUT and UKZN)

On Wednesday, 20 May 2026, H.E. Dong-han Yang, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, hosted a joint expert roundtable with the South African Department of Science and Innovation at the CSIR International Convention Centre (CSIR ICC), inviting Professor Donggyu Kim from the Department of Physics at KAIST.


Subsequently, Professor Kim delivered a lecture series at the Tshwane University of Technology (Thursday, 21 May) and at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (Friday, 22 May), under the title 'From Quantum Science to Quantum Industry: Building Scalable Technologies for the Next Computing Era'. The lectures received enthusiastic responses, with the Q&A sessions extending beyond the scheduled time due to strong audience interest in the future potential and interdisciplinary applications of quantum science.
